Our Services
Speech Difficulties
As children develop, they may have difficulties producing certain sounds. This may effect the overall clarity of their speech. A Speech-Language Pathologist can help determine what is normal for your child's age and create a tailored treatment plan to meet their needs.
Language Difficulties
Receptive language refers to your child's ability to understand spoken words. Expressive language refers to your child's ability to communicate using gestures, signs, words and sentences. A Speech-Language Pathologist can provide a thorough assessment of your child's language and create appropriate treatment goals tailored to their needs.
Early Language
Are you concerned that your child is not using as many words as their same aged peers? By 18 months your child should be using around 20 words, including nouns, verbs, prepositions and social words. Speech-Language Pathologists and Communicative Disorders Assistants works with the child and caregivers to teach strategies that turn everyday interactions into opportunities to build language.
Parent Training
Individual, small group and workshop style parent training is available on topics ranging from working with your child with articulation and language delays to facilitating early literacy skills. Parent training is an excellent tool in order to help your child meet their goals outside the clinic room!
Literacy
Speech-Language Pathologists and Communicative Disorders Assistants can work with your child to incorporate reading and writing goals into our sessions. We also run an engaging program for children ages 3-6 years old focusing on early literacy skills, that is what your child knows about reading and writing before they learn to read or write.
Group Programs
Group programs provide an exciting, and economical way to target your child's speech and language goals. Speak to your Speech-Language Pathologist if you are interested in group programming.
